ABOUT ME
I have always had a love for the Macabre and never truly understood the disgust others show, I didn't truly start exploring art outside of singing until my Sophmore year in high school. That is to say, my teachers never appreciated anything that I would show them, one going as far as to say that everything I made looked childish and that the way I used lines and shaded was not even worth comment (I got beef Mr.Rankin that hurt). That is to say, my Theatre teacher always had my back and told me one day that he would love to go to a gallery viewing of my own design, Thank you Mr. Scheuer for being my first fan. I love my bold lines and the way I shade, the way I start with an eye and the peice just comes to me from that.
I never have had a lot of confidence in my art and have only just now released it to those around me to try and show my creations to the world, which is scary as I view each of them as a part of me in one way or another. I do not make pretty, I will never be able to draw a beautiful portrait of a person, that is to say, I can make you into a monster. There is beauty in the dark, gentleness, and kindness in the pain. Look at my artwork's faces, they aren't monsters, they feel like me and you no matter how disgusting their outward appearance may be. They're my friends, I hope they can be yours too.
